How CapyParse handles your statements
Bank statements are sensitive. This page lists where your files are kept, who can open them, and how to delete them.
Last updated October 21, 2026
Encrypted in transit
Every connection to capyparse.com uses HTTPS.
Encrypted at rest
Files, results and account data are encrypted at rest with AES-256.
Scoped to your team
Each document belongs to one team. Other customers cannot open it.
Cards stay with Stripe
You pay on the Stripe checkout page. Card numbers never reach CapyParse.
Never sold
We do not sell your personal information.
Delete on request
Remove any document from your dashboard, or ask us to erase your data.
Where your documents are kept
When you upload a statement, we store the file, images of its pages and the transactions read from it. They are kept on servers in the United States.
We keep them so you can review the results, make changes and export again later.
Who can see them
Every document belongs to the team that uploaded it. Signed-in members of that team can open it, and so can API keys the team creates. Requests from other accounts are refused.
Inviting someone to your team gives them access to all of the team’s documents.
CapyParse staff can open a document when it is needed to give support or fix a conversion.
Deleting your data
You can remove any document from your dashboard at any time.
To have your documents or your whole account erased from our storage, email privacy@capyparse.com.
Free tools on this site
The OFX, QFX and QBO converters run in your browser. The file is never uploaded. Our analytics records usage details, such as the file name and size.
Payments
Payments run through Stripe Checkout. You type your card details on the Stripe page, so card numbers never reach CapyParse.
Stripe receives your email address, your billing address and a tax ID if you add one.
