What Desjardins exports natively, and where it stops
Desjardins documents its business exports in detail and its personal ones barely at all. Here is what is on the record:

Desjardins export behavior as of September 2026.
The exports are fine for last month’s reconciliation. For a year-end, a mortgage file, or a card statement from before the four-month window, you are working from relevés. CapyParse reads them and gives you a table with headers, one row per transaction.

Built for the way Desjardins prints statements
A Desjardins relevé is laid out differently from a US or English-Canadian statement. CapyParse reads it as printed:

Withdrawals and deposits are separate columns with a running balance. French column names are understood, and the export uses plain English headers with a signed amount added.
Several accounts on one relevé
One statement can carry a chequing account, a savings account, and more under the same folio, each with its own carried-forward balance. Each becomes its own table.
Numbers written the French way
An amount printed as 1 234,56 comes out as 1234.56. That is the difference between a spreadsheet that sums and one that treats every amount as text.
French month names
Dates written with French month abbreviations are recognized and written out unambiguously in the export.
Desjardins credit card transactions to Excel
This is the most common Desjardins question we see. For business cards, the AccèsD Affaires guide gives a precise answer: transaction lists download as OFX or CSV from the Transactions tab, and they are available for four months.
Four months does not cover a fiscal year. Card statements, on the other hand, are kept as PDFs for up to 10 years. If you need January and it is now September, the statement is the only copy left.

Desjardins conversion questions
How do I export Desjardins credit card transactions to Excel?
In AccèsD Affaires, open the card details and use the Transactions tab to download OFX or CSV, which covers the last four months. For anything older, open Relevés, download the PDF statement, and convert it with CapyParse to get an Excel file.
Does Desjardins offer a QBO file for QuickBooks?
No. AccèsD Affaires offers TXT, CSV, and OFX, and Desjardins’ guide suggests renaming the OFX file to .qbo. That works in some versions of QuickBooks and fails in others. CapyParse exports a real QBO file from your PDF statement.
How far back can I get Desjardins statements?
Online statements for caisse accounts are posted on the first of the month and archived for 7 years. Business credit card statements are kept up to 10 years. Transaction downloads reach much less: 62 days by default in AccèsD Affaires, or 12 months if online statements are turned on.
Does this work with French-language relevés?
Yes. French and English statements both convert. Column names like Retrait, Dépôt, and Solde are understood, amounts such as 1 234,56 become plain numbers, and French month names are read correctly.
Why does the Desjardins CSV have no column headers?
That is how Desjardins specifies it. The AccèsD Affaires CSV is positional: caisse, folio, account type, date, sequence, description, cheque number, withdrawal, deposit, and several loan fields, then balance. You have to know the order. A converted statement comes with headers.
Is it safe to upload my Desjardins statement?
All uploads are encrypted in transit via HTTPS. The free converter on this page processes your file in memory and does not keep it. When you sign up, your documents are stored securely in your account, only you can access them, and you can delete any document from your dashboard at any time.
