What Amex exports natively, and where it stops
American Express has one of the better native exports, and for recent activity it works well. The gap is everything older. Here is what each option covers:

What columns does the Amex CSV export include?
As of mid-2026, the basic Amex export includes Date, Description, and Amount, with an extended option that adds merchant and category detail. Charges are positive and payments negative. A CapyParse export mirrors the statement itself and normalizes direction into a consistent, import-ready format.
How far back can I get Amex statements?
