What Bank of America exports natively, and where it stops
Bank of America still exports recent activity, but the options shrank in 2025 and none of them cover your statement archive. Here is what each option covers:

After the QFX shutdown: getting back into QuickBooks
When Bank of America discontinued QFX and OFX downloads in September 2025, Quicken and QuickBooks users lost their direct import path. The bank now points everyone at CSV, which QuickBooks accepts only with manual column mapping and its own row limits.

Bank of America conversion questions
Can I download Bank of America statements as CSV directly?
No. Statements are PDF-only. Online banking can export recent account activity as CSV, but that is the live transaction feed with a short window, not your monthly statements. To get statement data into a spreadsheet, convert the PDF with CapyParse.
Can I still download QFX or OFX files from Bank of America?
No. Bank of America discontinued direct Quicken (QFX) and QuickBooks (OFX) downloads in September 2025. The remaining options are the CSV activity export and PDF statements. CapyParse can convert those PDF statements into QBO files that import into QuickBooks the way the old downloads did.
